1. Believing that you can change the world
You can make the world better, even influence it but maybe you should throw out the idea that you're going to change the world. I'm all for believing in yourself but let's be real; the likelihood of you "changing" the world is about slim to none. The sooner you realise that, the better.
2. Negative Nancy's and Debbie Downers
My least favourite people; the Nancy's and the Debbie's of the world that bring nothing to the table but a negative attitude. Being constantly surrounded by these kinds of people do nothing but bring you down and make you feel like complete shit. Cut them loose and focus on the positives.
3. Other people's opinions
Forget the haters and their snarky opinions. You know why they think that? Because they're jealous! They actually think that you might actually succeed and that scares the shit out of them. Just doing you're thing keeping your chin up and spreading a positive attitude; because if you do this, at the end of the day, they're going to look like the asshole.
4. That it's all up to luck
I hate the word luck when it comes to achieving goals and becoming successful. Lucky is winning the lottery, not being rewarded with a promotion for your hard work; that's fortune. When you've worked your whole life for something and you suddenly get rewarded for it with success, you are fortunate. Forget the idea that a person is only successful because of some form of luck. That is complete bullshit. Everyone only sees the end result and never the hard work it takes to get there.
5. Giving up on giving up
They say that a person will fail on a project at least 20 times before they see any real progress or result. No one got anywhere by giving up and not caring. Giving up is the pitts and will get you no where in life. Keep going! Life is a marathon, not a sprint.
