If you love beer & cider, you're going to be super jealous of how I spent my Saturday night! Over the weekend my mates and I got together and went to the GABS Beer & Cider Festival. Needless to say that GABS is an event for functioning alcoholics and I was more than happy to participate. Having not seen my friends in over 2 months, this was the perfect way to get together and catch-up.
With hundreds of beer and cider's at the helm for all of us to try, this wasn't the only enticing factor that made this event as specTAPular as is was! With an indoor ferris wheel, ping pong, mini golf, a silent disco and much more, there were plenty of good times to be had!
With tasters available and glasses of alcohol to be consumed, this is probably one of the most fun events that I've been to! How much did I have, you ask? Well that's my secret! One secret that I will let you know of is the amazing cider that I had (honestly, I think I had about four glasses haha). It was a strawberry gum cider by Stone Dog Meadery. It was amazing! As soon as my mate handed me a taster to try, I instantly fell in love!
GABS is an annual event that goes around Australia. As soon as you walk into the room you instantly feel good. The best way that I can describe it is like walking into your favourite pub; only with a lot more people, louder music and an endless amount of things to keep you entertained. This is an event that I'd definitely recommend. So much so, we've already decided that we're definitely going to be back next year! In summary, there are beers, brews and bloddy good vibes!
