The Weeknd finally made it to Australia and he definitely made my weekend ;) From a freak fluke, I was actually lucky enough to win tickets to see him LIVE in Sydney. I was one of those crazy callers on the radio who made it all the way through to actually win the tickets (still internally screaming!).

What you may not know about radio competitions is that when you call the radio, you go through a screening process where you're first met with the producer who is (of course), is extremely bubbly and happy to make sure that you're the same. The producer then asked me to suggest a song to win the tickets and being the smart person that I am, I requested my fave song by The Weeknd, Party Monster. If they call you back you've won! About 45 minutes later, I got a call back and I literally couldn't believe it. The producer was telling me that I had won tickets and that I was about to go on the radio. And yes, before you ask, I was that asshole on radio that couldn't help herself from screaming at the top of her lungs. Ah-well, you only live once!

I then picked up my tickets and went on my way to see The Weeknd. He as literally jaw-dropping, booty-popping ah-mazing! His opening act was French Montana who took me by surprise as I really enjoyed his performance. And then, The Weeknd graced with his presence and his pitch perfect voice to give us the concert experience of a lifetime. He was an artist that I would definitely see again if I get the chance. He set the roof on fire and he's one of those artists that you definitely appreciate more after you've seen them LIVE. I would even go as far to say that he sounds better LIVE (I KNOW!) From everything to his voice, stage presence, production, atmosphere; everything literally just fell into place to make the perfect concert to make it the perfect experience. Highly recommend!
