FOMO is real
Say what you want about us Millennials, 'lazy', 'arrogant', 'over the top', (all not true, but that's an argument for another day), but there is one acronym that we have created that is at the very basis for why we do the things that we do. FOMO. The 'fear of missing out' is real. DON'T DENY IT!
I'm the first person to put my hand up and admit that I am a serious victim of FOMO. I can't say no anything, literally at the fear that I'll miss out on seeing or experiencing something truly amazing. I will travel far and wide, go completely out of my way and go the extra mile just to make it to a house party for a girls party that I hardly know, but hey; I'm actually okay with that! Because nine times out of ten, going that extra mile is 100% worth it (for me at least). I enjoy going out and I hate being cooped in my house with nothing to do.
Having FOMO is a good thing because it turns me into a YES person. I'm not afraid of going out my comfort person, meeting new people and putting myself out there. Most of the time, saying yes to things will put you in a happier and better position than saying no and that's my New Years resolution (among others) to keep saying yes and experiencing new things and adventures with the people that I love.
